Supported Transitions

The supportive transition service is designed for adolescents with moderate to high risk factors, including flight risk, self-harming and aggression. Parent introduction and explanation is mandatory, parents will not travel with the child or transition team. Timing would be determined on a case-by-case basis. Right Direction does not use mechanical restraints but does have safety protocols that are followed. Our goal is to be maximally "hands-off" while being constantly visual. Transition locations can vary however, Right Direction does not "pickup" kids off the street and or at locations not controlled by the parents/guardians.
