Assisted Admissions

The assisted admissions service has been developed for adolescents that have demonstrated low risk factors and have moderate to high communication history.

Parent introduction and explanation is mandatory, parents will not travel with the child or transition team. Timing is flexible and would be determined on a case-by-case basis. Our staff work with parents to present a binary choice to the child that they must then choose as our staff help transition based upon what has been chosen.

Often times the adolescent refuses to choose but a lack of choice simply means the default choice of the parents/guardians would be implemented. This service was also designed for families wishing to place adults into treatment.
